Homework Calendars

As we continue to embrace technology to enhance our students' learning experiences, we would like to announce the implementation of a new homework system utilizing Google Calendars. This will assist the communication of assignments, deadlines, and important events, providing a more efficient and organized approach to managing your child's academic responsibilities.

It will not replace the existing system where students write their homework assignments in their books; it will only supplement the existing system. As such it is optional to use, but I would hope you and your child finds the new system very useful.

To ensure you are connected and informed, we encourage you to subscribe to your child's Google Calendar. Follow these steps to set up the subscription:

  1. Google Account: Make sure you have a Google account. If you don't have one, you can create an account easily at https://accounts.google.com/signup.
  2. Access the Calendar: Once you have a Google account, log in and go to Google Calendar by visiting https://calendar.google.com. Note that your should ensure that you open the link in a browser, as if you open it in a calendar app there may not be an option to add calendars depending on the app you are using.
  3. Locate the Calendar: On the left-hand side of the page, you'll find "Other calendars." Click on the "+" sign next to it, and then select "From URL"
  4. Enter the URL from the list below for your child's class:
  5. You will now have access to your child's homework calendar.
  6. Set Notifications: Customize your notification settings by clicking on the settings icon next to your child's calendar. This will help you stay informed about upcoming assignments and deadlines.

By subscribing to your child's Google Calendar, you will have real-time access to their homework schedule. This not only promotes transparency but also enables you to support your child in managing their time effectively.
